Listed below are all of the events that are sponsored by the 5th Quarter
Club. Each of these events occur at least once a year and are in need
of volunteers to assist with these events. Below are
descriptions of each event and the approximate time of year the event will
occur. If you would like to volunteer for any of these events, please

Senior Leadership Development Day - May 15, 2022
Upcoming seniors come together for leadership development. 6-8 Volunteers
are needed to assist the chairperson with the purchase of food, preparation
of food & serving/clean up lunch. The general time commitment for volunteers
would be approximately 2-3 hours.

Alumni Golf Outing - June 2022
GV Friends & Alumni take to the Golf course on a fun day that helps support
the GV football program. 6 - 8 volunteers are needed throughout the day to
help with organizing & purchasing of lunch, selling raffles & mulligans,
checking in golfers, monitoring holes for contest & prizes, assist with
volunteer breaks & other various tournament activities

Discount Cards Fundraiser:
Players sell discount cards during Camp Week in August. Volunteer duties
include securing card sponsors & ordering blitz cards (June - Mid July),
organizing parent drivers/sales teams & tracking sales/returned cards by
players. Parent driving volunteers needed,
Blitz Card night - August 18, 2022
Chairperson: Shannon Downey & Chris Bradley
Camp Week - August 15 to 19 2022
Players spend the full week at overnight camp and player parents prepare and
serve 3 meals/day. Duties include preparation/serving of meals & cleanup
after each meal. Volunteers are needed throughout each day.
Sign-up sheets will go out before camp.

Yard Signs:
“Home of a Jag” signs are created to be placed on the lawns of all Varsity
Jag Football players at the beginning of the new football season to show
Jaguar pride. Duties include ordering signs and coordinating the pick-up of
the signs during Camp week

Player Picture Pins, Football Pins
Moms receive pins with their son's picture on it for games; football pins
are given to moms to wear throughout the season. Duties include creating
pins and coordinating distribution to player moms. In addition senior moms
receive senior mom pins.

Game Night Dinner Coordinator (Friday 3-4:30PM):
Players are fed before every Friday night game. Duties include coordinating
the meals each Friday with the caterer and organizing volunteers to set up &
serve food and clean up following dinner.

All Friday games 3-5:30PM

Dad's Night: September 16, 2022
Player’s dads are treated to a pregame pizza dinner & walkthrough with the
team & Coach VanWyk. Also player’s dads will wear their sons’ away jerseys
to the game. Senior dads will receive a hat. Duties include acquiring
hat measurement during camp sign in, set up, serve and clean up. Additional
volunteers needed.

Mom’s Night; Football 101 Sept 23, 2022
Player’s moms are treated to a pregame dinner & to Football 101 with the
team & Coach VanWyk. Also, senior players' moms will receive a gift.
Duties include setting up catered meals, serving and cleaning up.
Timing: Sept/Oct

Spiritwear:
Spirit wear is available for players to purchase prior to the beginning of
the season through an online order process.
Football Jacketswill
also be available to purchase online.
Duties include coordinating with the vendor to determine the spirit wear
items for online player/family purchase, as well as, spirit wear items for
banquet gifts, dads night, and moms night.

Program Coordinator:
Coordination of game day programs & end of the season program is
prepared in January to give the players as part of their banquet gift.

Senior Recognition Night: October 27, 2022
On Thursday night the week of the last home game, senior players & their
parents are introduced and walk onto the field. Duties include ordering
roses and assembling for mothers, assisting photographers for player &
parent pictures on the field and preparing the list of player and parent
names for the game announcer..

Senior Parent Dinner: October 27, 2022
On the Thursday night following Senior Recognition, senior parents are
treated to dinner in the school cafeteria. Duties include preparing
invitations and organizing parents to help: decorate the cafeteria, serve
dinner and provide desserts/drinks and decorate the pit area of the
cafeteria. Also reaching out to Coach for 6 Junior player volunteers.

Freshmen Parent Representative:
Freshman parent rep will coordinate banquet plans, which entails a catered
dinner held in the lower level of the cafeteria in November. Duties
include organizing dessert/drinks donations, order gifts through spirit wear
chairperson, decorate designated areas, and coordinate junior player
volunteers through Coach Ricci. Set up & clean up Monday night pre-game
dinner, and assist coach with distribution & collection of discount cards
and roster updates. Additional parent volunteers are needed for the banquet
and pregame dinner. Also report the freshman score to web coordinator

Homecoming Game: October 7, 2022
Freshman Banquet: November 6, 2022 2:00 PM. Pit Area of GV Cafeteria

Senior Speech Night - November

Players gather to hear senior player speeches. This includes freshman, JV &
Varsity team members. Duties include ordering pizza dinner & drinks for
players and coaches.

Football Banquet: February 5, 2023
- 5:00 to 9:00
Annual player banquet held at Concordville Inn for the Varsity/JV team.
Duties include managing player/family/guest responses & payments, preparing
player/coach/support staff gifts, organizing banquet seating and meal
details. Parent volunteers needed on banquet day for help setting up.

Jan/Feb

Framed Jersey Committee:
Each four-year senior player receives a framed replica jersey at the banquet
to commemorate his four years of playing football at GVHS. Duties include
ordering the jerseys, coordinating the framing project with the vendor and
delivery of framed jerseys to the banquet.
